It all began with an idea. The Avyn Craig Memorial Foundation was established under the will of Kaleb Van Kampen when he approached Avyn’s parents wanting to start a scholarship to honor his memory by starting the fund. The purpose of scholarships funded by the Foundation is for honoring Avyn Craig and creating a lasting legacy through activities that are necessary or suitable for the accomplishment of such purposes and to supplement and complement the functions of the Foundation.

The following items must be attached to the application in order for the application to qualify to be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.

• Verification of Enrollment (VOE) Form from a school in the Dayton School District

• Grade report for the period for the most recent semester

• Letter of Recommendation from an advisor, counselor, teacher, and/or coach

• Typed essay (1-page minimum) listing the description of your career goals or future plans

Scholarship Range: $1,000 + annually.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:

Candidates must submit a completed application packet to The Avyn Craig Memorial Foundation no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the deadline.

Due March 31 of each year.
